The Arlene Butler Cancer Resource Center
The Arlene Butler Cancer Resource Center at Marymount Hospital was established to provide access to those searching for reliable information about cancer and its treatment.
At Marymount, we place an emphasis on educating patients and their loves ones about the disease and its treatment options. This information, coupled with our collaborative approach to cancer care, helps both the patient and the patient’s loved ones cope with the physical and emotional aspects of the disease.
The Arlene Butler Cancer Resource Center gives patients and the community access to cancer information. Our Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist can help answer your questions, locate current medical information and identify educational materials that will address your needs. Please contact Rosemary Field at 216.587.8998, ext. 4606.
Cancer Support Groups
Support groups provide a valuable service to those seeking information. But a support group offers so much more. It’s an opportunity, according to the American Cancer Society, “to share experiences, to find hope, and to inspire others.” The Gathering Place is a community that supports, educates and empowers individuals and families touched by cancer through programs and services free of charge.

Clinical Trials
We encourage you to consider participating in a clinical trial. Clinical trials are research studies that are looking for ways to improve the care of people with cancer. Clinical trials are a way for people with cancer to help to try to find new ways of treating and preventing cancer. Participation in clinical trials is always voluntary. Ask your oncologist if you are eligible to participate in a clinical trial or visit the National Cancer Institute website.
