First Time Parents
If you are a teen or a first-time mom or dad, we have a program for you -“Newborn Home Visit.”   All first-time moms and dads residing in Cuyahoga County are offered a free one-time newborn home care visit by one of our Registered Nurses within a week of discharge. Your visiting nurse will perform a head-to-toe assessment of both you and your infant. She will answer questions about postpartum care as well as jaundice, breastfeeding, sleep patterns, postpartum blues, and infant growth and development. This visit will be arranged before you leave the hospital.

If Dad has not yet taken advantage of our Boot Camp For New Dads, he may sign up for a FREE class. It can be taken either during the third trimester of pregnancy or during the first month of his baby’s life.  Both expectant and new fathers attend a one-time, three-hour workshop facilitated by a coach and “veteran” dad who will teach parenting skills to rookie dads. Veteran dads are those who have “graduated” from our Boot Camp and who themselves are fathers of infants aged two to six months.

For more info on Boot Camp for New Dads, please call 216.584.4379.
