Checklist - What to bring or leave at home
Things to bring to the hospital:
• Inhaler - if you have asthma and your physician has directed you to use an inhaler
• Hearing aids and dentures - do not put your dentures on your meal tray or wrap them in a napkin
• Glasses, preferably, not contacts - if contact lenses must be worn, bring your lens case and solution
• List of current medications
Things to leave at home:
• A lot of clothing - closet space is limited
• Jewelry (including body piercing), money and credit/debit cards
• Cell phones - they interfere with medical equipment and may be used only in family waiting areas, public lobbies and the cafeteria.
Visiting Hours
Marymount Hospital embraces a philosophy of flexible patient visitation that encourages and welcomes the involvement of family members and other persons of significance in the patient’s life. Please discuss your family’s needs with your nurse.
Room Service
We want to make your stay with us as convenient and enjoyable as possible by offering you a distinctive room service dining experience. Room service provides you with a variety of chef prepared meals and allows you to select the time you would like to dine. Room service is available from 6:15 a.m. to 10:15 p.m. When you call to order your meal, we will personally deliver your selection within 45 minutes. View our room service menu.
Receiving Mail, Flowers and Gifts
In general, patients may receive flowers and small gifts. Please check with your nurse if you have any questions. All items should be addressed as follows:

Pharmacy
The Marymount Family Pharmacy offers convenient and hassle free pharmacy services. We can have your prescriptions filled and ready upon your discharge. They can be picked up from the pharmacy or delivered to your room. The pharmacy is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, and closed on Sunday. Smoking Policy
Because we care about your health, smoking is not permitted anywhere on the Marymount campus. It is strongly encouraged that you stop smoking to reduce your risk of respiratory complications. It is never too late to quit. Your doctor can help decide which smoking cessation method will work best for you.
