At Marymount, we’re committed to meeting the physical and emotional needs of each mother and child who enters our door. This commitment requires specialized care administered by experienced and highly trained physicians and nurses. Labor, delivery and recovery take place in our homelike birthing suites, providing comfort with the availability of advanced technology, such as centralized fetal monitoring. In the event your baby needs specialized attention, we have neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners available. A lactation specialist is on hand to assist mothers who choose to breast feed and a certified massage therapist is available for relaxation and to soothe aching muscles.
Our facility
Marymount offers four spacious Labor-Delivery-Recovery suites and two operating rooms. New moms recover in one of four private or six semi-private rooms. And although our nursery has space for 18 bassinets, our babies are most often found in their mothers’ rooms, where parents are learning to feed and care for their newborn. If at some point during your labor your physician decides that you will require a Caesarian delivery, your labor nurse will prepare you and stay with you. Our OR suites are conveniently located within the Labor-Delivery-Recovery area.
