It is a tradition that dates back to its founding in 1949 by the Sisters of St. Joseph, Third Order of St. Francis. Today, their spirit endures through the shared vision and commitment of Marymount’s top-rated physicians, nurses, technicians and staff.
Centrally located in Garfield Heights and easily accessible from all major highways, Marymount is a full-service, 322-bed acute care community hospital serving southern and southeastern Cuyahoga County and neighboring communities. Augmenting its full spectrum of hospital services, the 26-acre main campus includes a medical office building, behavioral health center, and a new critical care tower that features a larger emergency department, new imaging services and an enhanced intensive care unit. The campus is also home to The Village at Marymount, a thriving community for independent seniors, as well as Trinity High School and Villa St. Joseph, a 114-suite nursing and memory care center. Additionally, Marymount serves as the base hospital for the paramedic programs of seven local communities.
In recent years, Marymount has broadened its geographical footprint to better serve the needs of its community constituents. Off-site facilities now include Marymount Medical Center, Broadview Heights and the Marymount Surgery Center in Garfield Heights.
